Which Do You Prefer: Artificial Grass Or Natural Grass?

- Apr 27, 2018 -

I like natural grass, but when you have allergies, lack of water and don't want the maintenance, then artificial lawns fit the bill. They are great in the drought-laden areas of the country as well.

Maintenance: A natural grass usually requires frequent fertilization and irrigation essentially physical efforts. Green grass also attracts fleas or insects, some insects can do extensive damage to the lawn. Synthetic turf lawns are easy to maintain than real grass. Synthetic turf requires no mowing, fertilizing and irrigation and does not attract insects. Artificial Grass can be washed and wiped to remove stains and blemishes.

Look and Feel: While synthetic turf may not give you the same feeling as the natural grass. But some high end synthetic turf producers like Shanghai Tianlu can easily fool your friends and neighbors.

Environment Friendly: It is hard to say which grass is environmentally friendly. While natural grass has a cooling effect but artificial grass requires no fertilizers or insecticides. Also, synthetic turf saves approximately 2,200 litres per m² (55 gallons per ft²) of water per year.

Cost-Effective: Synthetic turf is little expensive than traditional grass. However, natural grass requires ongoing maintenance costs for mowing, pest control and irrigation. On the other hand artificial turf does not incur ongoing maintenance costs and it is 8 to 10 years durable.
