PE for artificial grass
The artificial grass made from PE is more similar to natural grass in appearance, sports performance, and hand feeling.
The PE yarn fiber is very soft of good elasticity. Excellent cushion performance can reduce injury for players effectively. Hence, The PE artificial grass is perfect for sports with greater impact, such as football, American football, soccer, rugby football, Australia rules football, etc.
Although the resilience is slightly different, most artificial grass sports field have filled, so the impact is not large. Good wear resistance can ensure the lifespan of the artificial grass surfaces. The weather ability and aging resistance are also better than PP.
PP for artificial grass
The PP yarn fiber is hard and tough, the elasticity and cushion performance is less than PE, while the resilience is better than PE.
In view of those characteristics, the short PP artificial grass is perfect for sports with smaller impact, such as tennis, basketball, badminton, volleyball, school playgrounds, running track, residential landscape, commercial landscape, etc.
The relatively poor wear resistance and anti-aging performance determine the lifespan of PP is not as good as PE.
PA for artificial grass
The PA fiber is too hard to burn the athlete’s skin, hence, it is rarely used for sports with greater impact. Beyond that, the artificial grass has good resilience, elasticity, cushion performance, wear resistance, anti-aging performance, etc.
But the PA price is higher than PE and PP. The main application is landscape, leisure, putting greens, etc.
